Supported through the Industry Development – Workshops and Masterclasses Fund, the eight workshops will run throughout 2025 and kick off next month with The Feisty Producer's Toolkit Masterclass Series.
The Feisty Producer’s Toolkit Masterclass Series
Designed for mid-career Western Australian producers, the masterclasses aim to provide participants with practical examples including:
Producers’ roles and the ability to differentiate between different types of Producers.
Business structures and key advisor relationships.
Clarity around participant’s own “brand” and distinctive skillsets.
Strengthening confidence when networking opportunities arise.
Enhanced knowledge of industry terminology, key organisations and marketplace realities.
Practical knowledge of finance plans, recoupment waterfalls, rights acquisition.
Awareness of the value of research and preparation in relation to markets and industry events.
Strengthened networks with guest speakers and industry colleagues.
The sessions will be led by WA producer Dr Tania Chambers OAM of Feisty Dame Productions (Invisible Boys, How To Please A Woman) and will include guest speakers who are active producers or marketplace partners.

Dates: The sessions will run over four Saturdays from 8 – 29 March 2025
Time: 9am – 12pm
Venue: The Backlot Perth, 21 Simpson Street, West Perth WA
Cost: $100 per participant
Regional-based practitioners will have the opportunity to attend remotely.
Places are limited to around 20 attendees to ensure optimal learning outcomes for all participants.
